There are 5 basic techniques in playing piano :
- FINGERING (hand and finger forms, relaxation of arms & shoulders) Exercises for this fingering, intended to make, we as musicians, especially piano or keyboard player, finger and hand position when playing we are in the correct position. Also to shape our fingers over the keys when playing piano or keyboard is in perfect position. Finger exercises include Ladder Tone and Cadence.
- TOUCHING (touch of the pad, Legato, staccato, phrasing, dynamics and expression) Exercises for Touching is intended to make, we as musicians We understand our interpretation in playing music. Not play music, but music that should come out from our hearts. We know where we should be able to play loud or soft. Playing with no pressure or disconnected or broken and / or with the appropriate accent. There are dynamics, feeling and expression, especially piano or keyboard player.
only
- RHYTHM and TEMPO Exercises for rhythm and tempo is intended to make, we as musicians, they can cover for all instruments. Both as a player drums, bass, guitar, percussions or also piano and keyboard. We need to know the price of notes, beats and rhythm patterns. We need to know also about the right tempo. Rhytmic in playing music (comping). There is a soul or groove in bermusic. There should be a "life" in us playing in a band. We should know also about the TIME SIGNATURE (the song was played in a knock 2 / 4, ¾, 4 / 4, 3 / 8, 6 / 8 etc)
- HARMONY (chords progression, voicing and Accompaniment) Exercises for harmony is intended to so that we can be more rich in the developing pattern of chords that we use in a song. Developing a so und also produced from the chords that we play. And also to broaden the way we play in our context to accompany a singer or a church. Because we are playing in harmony with the good, it will create a unity of good. With a good knowledge of harmony, we can make arrangements that would be more comfortable. Knowing our position as a musician, more as a companion!
- READING This exercise is intended more for those who can not read music or the combo score. They are expected later in the day could be to read sheet music notation or combo part. They know the treble clef (key G) and bass clef (key F). They know about the KEY SIGNATURE (how many sharp (#) or flats (b) the song was played). In our view these signs by itself we already know that the song was played on what scales. Obviously it would be easier for us in music
I hope this is useful for all of you... ^^
