About Maksim Mrvica

Maksim Mrvica (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈmaksim ˈmr.ʋitsa]; born May 3, 1975) is a Croatian pianist. He plays classic crossover music.
Mrvica took up piano lessons from the age of nine from Marija Sekso and gave his first public performance in the same year. Just three years later he gave his first concert performance of Haydn’s Piano Concerto in C major.
When war broke out in 1991, both Mrvica and his professor were determined that this would not disrupt his music studies. In spite of the war and surrounding turbulence, Mrvica entered in, and won, his first major competition in Zagreb in 1993.

What is Chord?

Chord is same with cord or accord. It has the same meaning. It means accompaniment. Chord consist of 3 tones so the sounds more "wide". Generally we play chord with left hand and right hand for the melody.
Basically there are 2 ways to play a chord. The first is "Block chord". We play all the notes simultaneously.
The second is "Broken Chord". We play the chord separately, one by one. But we can develop ways to play chord with other styles such as pop, jazz, blues, and any more.
